Association of Local Environmental Record Centre (ALERC) – represents the interests of Local Records Centres in the UK.
Biological Records Centre – the national centre in the UK for terrestrial and freshwater species recording (other than birds), working with the voluntary recording community.
Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) – provides access to millions of data records shared via the GBIF network of which the NBN forms the UK node.

National Federation for Biological Recording (NFBR) – the independent voice of biological recording in the UK; members include individual naturalists, and national recording groups.
