Local priority species statements
The species statements provide key information on some of the local biodiversity priority species and locally notable species. They help these species to be taken into account in management plans for sites and in the development planning process.
Local specialists were involved in writing the statements, which were compiled for the Somerset Biodiversity Partnership. The partnership would welcome help with writing Species Statements for other species on the Somerset Priority Species List. A template for the statements is available to download here.
