Service Level Agreements

Organisations who sign up to service level agreements with SERC gain enhanced access to our data holdings, receive advice and technical support, and get preferential rates for our consultancy services. All our funding partners have service level agreement agreements (or equivalent) for the provision of our services.

Charges are based on the area covered and the type of services required, if you are interested please contact us to discuss your requirements. Current SLA holders are Somerset FWAG, Somerset Drainage Board Consortium, and Wessex Water.

Services to service level agreement holders

The following are details of the services provided to current SLA holders:

Access to GIS datasets

• Copies of relevant datasets sent to organisation for use in own mapping systems
• Biannual updates of local wildlife site and local geological site details and boundaries
• Option to receive all species records or customised datasets of species records to suit organisation's requirements

Custom search services

• Option to request tailored data searches
• Outputs customised to suit organisation’s needs
• Planning application screening using BioPlan - currently only provided to local authorities

Digitisation of data

• Provision of the tools and technical support to enable electronic capture of the organisation’s data-holdings
