Somerset Butterfly Group
The Somerset Butterfly Group's primary interest is recording and monitoring, although some members also carry out practical conservation work. The group was originally formed to provide records for a distribution atlas, and continues to regularly produce a number of publications reflecting the distribution and abundance of butterflies in Somerset. They collaborate closely with both Somerset Wildlife Trust and the Somerset & Bristol Branch of Butterfly Conservation.
Getting involved
Field Trips are organised by the Somerset & Bristol Branch of Butterfly Conservation and held weekly throughout the summer, and there is an annual shared 'Get-Together' in February, to which all Butterfly Group and SWT members are welcome.
